CAIRO - The United States Embassy in Cairo is pleased to present a new digital video conference series on President Obama's first 100 days in office. The speakers in the series are U.S. political analysts and academics who will discuss how the new president has hit the ground running, U.S. citizens' views of the new administration and its policy initiatives, and the historical context of the new American administration.

Charlie Cook will be the speaker at the first video conference on Wednesday, March 11, 2009. Mr. Cook is a political journalist who specializes in election forecasts and political trends. He delivers election forecasts and rankings in his own publication, The Cook Political Report, in addition to providing election night commentary for various television networks.

The video conference will take place at the U.S. Embassy in Sherman Hall at 4:00 pm. Translation will be provided. You are requested to send your name, national ID or passport number to cairoculture@state.gov by Tuesday, March 10, if you would like to attend. The event is open to the public through the West Gate, at 5 Tawfik Deyab (Latin America) St., Garden City, Cairo. Please bring a photo ID to gain entrance. Cell phones, cameras, and computers are not allowed in the Embassy and can be stored at the gate during the video conference.
