القاهرة – تدعو السفارة الأمريكية المدرسين المصريين للتقدم لبرنامجي
التفوق والإنجاز فى التدريس (TEA) و والريادة الدولية فى التعليم (ILEP).
يقدم برنامج التفوق والانجاز فى التدريس(TEA) لمدرسى الثانوية فرصة فريدة لتطوير خبراتهم فى مجالات تخصصهم وتعزيز مهاراتهم التدريسية وزيادة معرفتهم بالولايات المتحدة. ويستمر هذا البرنامج لمدة ستة أسابيع منها أسبوعين للتدريب العملى فى مدارس ثانوية والاختلاط بالمدرسين والطلاب الأمريكيين. ويتخلل البرنامج أيضاً زيارات لأماكن ثقافية فى الولايات المتحدة ودعم أكاديمى. وسيسافر المشاركون الى الولايات المتحدة فى ربيع أو خريف عام 2010.
وفى مقابل المدرسين الأجانب، سيسافر 78 من المدرسين الأمريكيين الى الخارج عام 2011 وسيتم استضافة كل منهم فى مدرسة يعمل بها خريج برنامج TEA فى الدولة المضيفة حيث سيقومون بالتدريس المشترك وسيناقشون أفضل طرق التدريس والمناهج والقضايا التعليمية الأخرى.
اما برنامج الريادة الدولية فى التعليم (ILEP) فهو يتيح لمدرسى الثانوية قضاء فترة دراسية فى إحدى الجامعات الأمريكية، بما فى ذلك الإشتراك فى الفصل الدراسى والتدريب المكثف حول أساليب التدريس والتخطيط للفصل الدراسى واستراتيجيات التدريس التى تناسب البيئة المحلية، كما سيتخلل البرنامج دراسة الريادة للمدرس واستخدام الحاسب الآلى للبحث فى الانترنت واستخدام Word كأدوات للتدريس. وهذا البرنامج الذى سيبدأ فى يناير وينتهى فى مايو 2010 سيتضمن أيضاً تدريب عملى فى إحدى المدارس الثانوية ليكون فرصة لتفاعل المشاركين مع المدرسين والطلاب الأمريكيين.
للتقدم لهذين البرنامجين يجب أن يكون المدرس قد عمل بالثانوية العامة بصفة أساسية لدة خمس أعوام أو أكثر فى تخصصات تدريس اللغة الانجليزية كلغة ثانية أو الدراسات الأجتماعية أو الرياضيات أو العلوم ، ويجب أن يكون مواطن مصرى ويجيد اللغة الانجليزية تحدثاً وكتابة وقد اجتاز اختبار TOEFL بدرجة 500 أو أكثر. وسوف يتم توفير إختبار TOEFL بالمجان للمرشحين النهائيين.

Cairo – The U.S. Embassy in Cairo calls for applications for the Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program (TEA) and the International Leaders in Education Program (ILEP).
TEA provides opportunities for secondary school teachers with unique opportunities to develop expertise in their subject areas, enhance their teaching skills, and increase their knowledge about the United States. The 6-week program will also include a 2-week internship at a secondary school to actively engage participants with American teachers and students. Trips to U.S. cultural sites and academic support will be provided for participants throughout the program. The participants will travel to the United States in spring or fall 2010.
In spring and summer 2011 a cohort of 78 U.S. teachers will reciprocate the visits of the international teachers. Each U.S. teacher will be hosted by a TEA alumni school in the participating country where they will team-teach, discuss best teaching practices, curriculum, and educational issues.
ILEP provides secondary school teachers with a semester-long academic program at a U.S. university, including coursework and intensive training in teaching methodologies, lesson planning, teaching strategies for their home environment, teacher leadership, as well as the use of computers for Internet and word processing as tools for teaching. The semester-long program, which will commence in January 2010 and conclude in May 2010, will also include an internship at a secondary school to engage participants actively with the American teachers and students.
Secondary-level, full-time teachers with five or more years of classroom experience in disciplines including English as a Foreign Language, social studies, civics, mathematics, or science are eligible to apply. Applicants must be citizens of Egypt and be proficient in written and spoken English with a TOEFL score of 500 or higher. TOEFL tests will be provided free of charge to final nominees.
