القاهرة – يسر السفارة الأمريكية بالقاهرة أن تصرح بأن دار الأوبرا بالقاهرة مدّت عرض "برودواي قادمة إلي مصر" الإستعراضي إلي يوم 6 يوليو نظرا للإقبال الكبير الذي لاقاه ونفاذ التذاكر بعروض يومي 4 و 5 يوليو. عرض "برودواي قادمة إلي مصر" هو أمسية من الغناء والرقص الأمريكي يتخلله مقتطفات من المسرحيات الغنائية الأسطورية West Side Story و Grease.

يأتي عرض برودواي كنتاج تعاون فريد بين السفارة الأمريكية ودار الأوبرا المصرية وأميريكان فويسس (American Voices ) وهي رابطة فنية أمريكية معنية بجلب الموسيقى والثقافة الأمريكية للجماهير لجميع أنحاء العالم. تحت إدارة وتصميم رقصات الفنانين الأمريكيين جون فيرجيسون ومايكل باركس ماسترسون وإرا سبولدينج, سيقدم نخبة من المطربين والراقصين المصريين والأجانب ثلاثة عروض متميزة في القاهرة والأسكندرية.

سيقام عرض "برودواي قادمة إلي مصر" في الإسكندرية يوم 2 يوليو 2009 الساعة 10 مساء بالمسرح الروماني، وفي القاهرة يومي 4 و 5 و 6 يوليو2009 الساعة 9 مساء بالمسرح الكبير بدار الأوبرا. وقد بيعت جميع تذاكر العرض ليومي 4 و 5 يوليو.

تباع التذاكر بشباك المسرح بالأسكندرية وقيمتها 10 و 15 جنيها مصريا وبدار الأوبرا بالقاهرة وقيمتها 10 و15 و 25 جنيها مصريا.

Cairo – The U.S. Embassy in Egypt is proud to announce that the Cairo Opera House has extended “Broadway Comes to Egypt” for one more evening, July 6, after the July 4 and 5 shows quickly sold out. “Broadway Comes to Egypt” is an evening of American song and dance with excerpts from the legendary musicals West Side Story and Grease.

The program is a unique collaboration between the U.S. Embassy, the Cairo Opera House and American Voices, a U.S. arts association dedicated to bringing American music and culture to audiences around the world. Under the direction and choreography of American artists John Ferguson, Michael Parks Masterson and Ira Spaulding, a cast of Egyptian and international singers and dancers will stage three spectacular performances in Cairo and Alexandria.

Broadway Comes to Egypt will be in Alexandria on July 2 at 10 p.m. at the Roman Amphitheater and in Cairo on July 4, 5 and 6 at 9 p.m. at Main Hall of the Cairo Opera House. The July 4 and 5 shows at the Cairo Opera House are already sold out.

Tickets for the Alexandria performance are LE 10 and LE 15. Tickets for the Cairo performance are LE 10, LE 15 and LE 25. Tickets are available at the theaters’ box offices.
