Leadership for Education and Development Scholarship Announcement for the Academic Year 2009-2010
The American University in Cairo (AUC) is pleased to announce the Leadership for Education and Development (LEAD) Program for the Academic Year 2009-2010. Established in 2004, LEAD is a collaborative venture between the American University in Cairo, the United States Agency for International Development and the Ministry of International Cooperation.
The program seeks to reach out, and select the best Egyptian public high school students from underserved communities and socio-economic backgrounds to pursue their academic career at AUC. Through high quality academic support, leadership development activities, and civic engagement opportunities, the program fosters professionalism, ethical conduct, and tolerance to enable the students to become globally competitive leaders and change agents.
Fifty eight scholarships will be offered for the Academic Year 2009-2010 (two students from each governorate).
