استضافت اليوم السيدة مارجريت سكوبي سفيرة الولايات المتحدة لدى مصر التوقيع على اتفاق مشاركة بين جامعة المستقبل في مصر وجامعة تمبل في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية يهدف لوضع برامج تبادل بين الطلاب والأساتذة والباحثين بين الجامعتين فى تخصصات الصيدلة والعلوم، وطب الأسنان، والهندسة.

وفى إشارة الى الخطاب التاريخى الذى القاه الرئيس أوباما فى القاهرة ودعوته للتوسع فى برامج المشاركة بين العالم الإسلامى والولايات المتحدة، اشادت السفيرة سكوبي بمبادرة القطاع الخاص بين المؤسستين الأكاديميتين كنموذج يحتذى به الآخرون. وقد أكدت السفيرة انه "لا يوجد دولة أخرى فى العالم الإسلامى والعالم العربى تتمتع بأقدم تراث للمعرفة واحترام التعليم مثل مصر."

ووصفت السفيرة هذه المشاركة الجديدة بأنها مثالا علي "إلتزام جامعة المستقبل بتوفير الفرصة للطلاب للإنفتاح على العالم"، وأعربت عن فخرها بأن "جامعة تمبل الأمريكية أيقنت هذه الفرصة للطلاب الأمريكيين ".

Cairo – Today, the U.S. Ambassador to Egypt Margaret Scobey hosted the signing of a partnership agreement between Future University of Egypt and Temple University of the United States to establish exchange programs for students, faculty and researchers of Future University and Temple University in the faculties of pharmaceutical sciences, dentistry, and engineering.

Citing President Obama’s historic speech in Cairo and his call to expand partnerships between the Muslim world and the U.S., Ambassador Scobey hailed the private initiative between the two academic institutions as a model for others to follow, stressing that “There is no other country in the Muslim world and Arab world with an older tradition of learning and respect for education than Egypt.” Ambassador Scobey called this new partnership an example of “the commitment of Future University to offer its students access to the world” and expressed pride that “Temple University has recognized this opportunity for American students.”
